Product Description

Tungsten carbide is 3 times harder than steel, so tungsten carbide balls are used in extremely harsh environments; for example, they require extreme hardness and are extremely resistant to wear and impact. Areas of application include special valves, flow meters, recirculating ball screws, linear bearings, and more. They can also be used for calibration or measurement.

Features Of Tungsten carbide bearing ball

  • Good Dimensional Stability: Small coefficient of thermal expansion, which causes the tungsten carbide bearing balls have very minute change when the temperature changes. So it’s not bad choice for many precision equipment with huge temperature changes.
  • Superb Corrosion Resistance: Tungsten carbide bearing balls have the superb stability under chemical conditions when facing the acid, alkali and some organic solvent, which is competent in chemical and oceanic conditions.
  • High Density: The density of tungsten carbide bearing balls is around 14-15 g/cm³, which is far above the steel balls. So it can provide bigger support on inertia, impact and counterweight of test tubs in lab and some high end golf clubs.

With comprehensive machining capabilities, we can not only perform precision grinding and finishing of tungsten carbide bearing balls, but also manufacture the blanks by ourselves to ensure stable quality.

Wide Industrial Applications

Tungsten carbide bearing balls are widely used in wear-resistant and high-impact environments.

They offer higher hardness, better wear resistance, and longer service life compared with steel balls, making them ideal for demanding industrial applications.

FAQs

A1: No, it won’t. Tungsten carbide bearing balls have the stable chemical properties in normal condition, especially in the grades with less cobalt or coating can bear most acid and alkali media, which is better than the steel balls.

A2: The precision grades, such as G3, G5, G10, G100, are based on the international standard, ISO 3290, which define the overall level about tolerances of diameter, surface finish. The smaller the figure, the precision is higher.

A3: Advantage 1: longer service life, tungsten carbide bearing balls have the minimal wear and tear on the condition of particle and open&close frequently.

Advantages 2: good high-pressure resistance, tungsten carbide bearing balls can not leak at the high pressure condition.

A4: We usually don’t suggest you to do so. One reason is the higher cost, tungsten carbide is very hard, which just can grind via the diamond, the cost of repairing is more than the new balls; another reason is because grinding will influence the diameter of balls, affecting the assemble of different components.
