Product Description

Tungsten carbide mechanical seal rings are high-performance components engineered for critical sealing applications in extreme conditions. Constructed from tungsten carbide (WC), a composite material renowned for its exceptional hardness, superior wear resistance, and corrosion resistance, these seal rings offer unmatched durability in high-pressure, high-temperature, and abrasive environments.

Features of Tungsten carbide Mechanical Seal Rings

  1. Extraordinary wear-resistance. This is the biggest advantages of tungsten carbide seal ring. The performance is high hardness, which is around HRA 90-93, just less than diamond. The wear rate is very low in fluids containing solid particles such as slurry, dust, and crystalline media.
  2. Exceptional balance between strength and toughness. The compressive and bending strength of tungsten carbide rings are very good, and it has the a certain of resilience, especially for the cobalt binder, which cannot break easily during assemble.
  3. Good corrosion resistance. We can customize the binder according to different using conditions. Usually, YG series (cobalt binder) work well in the normal corrosion conditions; YN series (nickle binder), is for the very strong corrosion conditions.

Why Choose our Tungsten Carbide Mechanical Seal Rings?

  1. We’re the expert of material. We’re not only the manufacturer to make the tungsten carbide seal rings, but also the researcher of the tungsten carbide. We adopt coarse, medium, fine and ultra fine tungsten carbide powder to customized the binder. We have a lot of grade to meet your diverse requirements.
  2. We possess the ability of precision machining for all the procedures. Our sealing face can reach the surface finish to mirror, at the same time, we also can ensure the good flatness and parallelism of it. We know, the little deviation may cause the sealing failed.
  3. No matter medium is strong acid, alkali, has dust, solid body or the extreme conditions with high temperature and pressure, we have so many customers’ cases to match with that we’ve cooperated. We don’t just sale the rings to you, but share our experiences which are verified.

FAQs

A1: YG series (cobalt binder), are normally used in neutral, weakly corrosive medium and have high requirements of wear resistance, like pure water, oil, ,medium with particle. When the using condition is strong acid, alkali, and sea water, we choose YN series (nickle binder) is better.

A2: Typically, the surface finish of sealing face must in mirror finish. In normal conditions, surface finish Ra≤0.1μm is ok. In the precision conditions, surface finish need to reach to Ra≤0.05μm. But for some high-end industries, the surface finish must be Ra≤0.025μm.

A3: Flatness:≤0.0009 mm (0.9μm); Parallelism:≤0.002 mm. If the tolerances aren’t so accurate, which will case partial leaking or wear abnormally.

A4: We summarized some signals that you should exchange the rings: 1. When the rate of leaking is 3-5 times compared to the normal; 2. The depth of wear is more than 50% of design; 3. The sealing surface appears cracks, pitting and hot spots.
